Sodium Humate For Ceramic , Sodium Humic Acid , Industrial Use Of Humic Acid
New-Nutri Sodium Humate is an organic material made from lignite as raw material through processing. It is widely used in agriculture, aquaculture, animal feeding, ceramic additive, wastewater treatment and other fields. Sodium Humate exhibits good dilution, enhancement, adsorption, and bonding in the ceramic industry, and is an effective additive for high performance in the ceramic industry.
Mechanism of Action
(1) Dilution
After adding Sodium Humate to the clay-water system, the highly active anion adsorbs on the surface of the clay particles to diffuse the particles, and the double-layer potential is increased. The water originally encapsulated in the clay structure is released to serve as a dilution. It can increase the fluidity of mud and glaze by 50% and is a good debonding agent.
(2) Enhancement
The reinforcement of the porcelain blank is mainly caused by the Humic Acid, which changes the properties of the clay-water system, reduces the water content of the slime, and reduces the voids of the slime, thus reducing the shrinkage during the drying process. The dry billet is denser and the strength is increased. (3) Adsorption & Bonding

It can be observed by electron microscopy that the Humic Acid molecule is a loose sponge-like structure formed by the polymerization of some loose porous cells like globules, which can make the green body have strong glazing ability, thus effectively reducing the defects of semi-finished products.
(4) Plasticization
Since the Sodium Humate contains a hydrophilic polar group, a hydration film can be formed in the aqueous solution. The Humic Acid molecule together with its hydration membrane can be firmly adsorbed on the surface by the mud particles, and the molecule of the Sodium Humate is a loose porous sponge-like structure so that the mud can be bonded together. Increase the plasticity index by more than 40%, make the slime easy to form, reduce the cracking of semi-finished products, and facilitate mechanized production.
